Learning scientist committed to helping students reach their potential

About Me

I am a learning scientist and expert in the psychology and neuroscience of academic performance. My work focuses on one big question: Why do students sometimes fail to reach their full potential, and what can science do about it?

I earned my PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience from Georgetown University and graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University. I have led research efforts for Google and have spent over a decade investigating the cognitive and environmental factors that drive student success.

In my 12+ years of researching factors that lead to or inhibit student success, I have developed a strong belief that every student is unique, and we need to take this into account if we want to help them fulfill their potential.

I created The Pinpoint Method based on this philosophy. If your child or a student you work with is working hard but not seeing that effort translate into results, I provide a scientific approach to getting to the bottom of why that is and what science says can be done about it.

I also provide research consulting services and am the founder of Pinpoint Learning.
